Allen's career began in 1976 after serving in the military. Prior to starting his own business, Pro Audio Services, he provided audio technical services in both L.A. California and Colorado for countless concerts, television shows and videos including 7 Superbowls! He has worked with numerous professional musicians including Dan Folgelburg, Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Metallica and the SFSO, The Doors, Neil Young Unplugged, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant. After deciding to make his return to Colorado he started his business repairing professional audio equipment. Since starting his repair business over 19 years ago he has expanded into acoustic treatment services, recording studio design/build, live sound installations and service and just about anything in the professional audio field. One project he is most proud of is the design and installation of the nations first youth media studio for Youth on Record in Denver in 2015. Allen had worked on super bowls XXXII to XXXIX and his expertise and craftsmanship have been recognized with many awards including but not limited to a nomination by the "Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards" for "Outstanding Creative Achievement, Remote Production/Recording or Broadcast (Remote Engineer)" in 2005 for his work on Super Bowl XXXIX. He also received Primetime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Individual Achievement in Sound Mixing for a Variety or Music Series or Special" for his work as Assistant Engineer on "Unforgettable, With Love: Natalie Cole sings the songs of Nat 'King' Cole Great Performances.
